It has been said that the recreation center will make business want to move here and create growth. The real fact is that higher taxes have never made an economy better.
A 33% tax increase would stifle our economy even further. Resident will shop in Grand Junction and our surrounding communities rather than here in Fruita. hurting our local businesses.

Seniors that live on a fixed income will not be able to afford to use the proposed recreation center, and these are the very people that we are told the center is for.
